According to officials and industry sources, the fire began after debris from an intercepted drone fell in the Fujairah oil industrial area. Civil defence teams rushed to the scene and worked to contain the blaze. Fortunately, no casualties were immediately reported.

Why Fujairah Port Is Important
Fujairah is strategically located on the Gulf of Oman and serves as a crucial oil export terminal for the UAE. The port handles roughly 1 million barrels of oil per day, representing about 1% of global oil demand, and acts as a major refueling and storage hub for tankers.
